Intro

      I recently completed a coding bootcamp through Tech Elevator . It was an intensive, daily learning experience focusing on Java, Postgres database, and React front-end. We spent 4 hours in class every morning, then completed coding assignments in the afternoon. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Prior to Tech Elevator, I had completed a Master's degree program in Software Engineering through Boston University. You may wonder, why a bootcamp after the master's? It's actually quite simple. I attended the Master's program with a Bachelor's in Psychology, and little to no coding experience. I graduated with a good gpa (3.4), but definitely benefited from the practice acquired through the bootcamp. I'm currently working on projects, on HackerRank, Leetcode, and reading about algorithms to stay active and hands-on.

      I'm looking for a junior software developer position with room for growth. I have experience in teaching and helping children diagnosed with Autism as a Registered Behavior Therapist, in aircraft mechanics through a two-year training program at the National Aviation Academy, and mutual fund custody accounting from working at the State Street Corporation. I'm hoping for one final, long-tenured chapter in software development to round out my (somewhat) eclectic career.

Work

While working as a Registered Behavior Technician, I attended Simmons University in Boston to complete a degree in Applied Behavior Analysis.
As part of that program, I developed some teaching materials regarding general aviation safety.
During Covid, I used those skills for work to produce teaching / learning materials for students.

Projects

Created a wordpress driven website for Dr. Sanchez-Samper's private practice using Wordpress as my content management system.

I attented Tech Elevator in Columbus, Ohio.   Below is a capstone project my team completed.   It has a java back-end, connects to The Movie Database API, uses a Postgres database, and a React front-end.   In search of a good hosting solution, deploying soon™.
